Say you have a website where you need your clients to authenticate using x509 certificates generated by your CA (memberca) and that you have a verisign issued CA for your server end (HTTPS certificate)
You'd want to configure apache to:
- Accept only certificates issued by memberca.
- Set it's server certificate to be what verisign issued.
- Use a CRL to know which certificates have been revoked.
